Facebook Interview

Hey there, peeps…

Just wanted to check in with you all… I can’t even tell you how I felt when I sat at the computer and read all of your comments this week. It’s absolutely ridiculous how lucky I am to be surrounded by such kind and loving people. So many of you talked about how you feel like we’re friends even though we’ll never meet, and I have to tell you I know exactly how you feel. It’s not always easy for me to tell people about it when things are rough, but I have such a real sense of friendship with all of you that it just didn’t feel right not letting you in this part of my life as well.

I wrote about it for you, but in the end I’m the one who was given so much by your comments. You all help me more than you know. So thank you for that.

Ok, onto today’s post…

I still haven’t written anything new, so this totally makes me feel like I’m cheating on a college paper or something… but here for your reading pleasure is a random questionnaire I took on Facebook when I first joined it a few months ago. I don’t normally do this kind of stuff on Facebook, but I’m kind of glad I did this one so I have something fresh to share with you. :)

Hope you enjoy some random facts, just for fun…

  1. ok....the "how do you feel/with my fingers" is too funny. I'm seriously stealing that line. I've got to ask.....tattoo? what would you get...and where? I thought having a tattoo over the huge scar on my side/back would be cool, but DH nixed the idea.

It's good to "see" you. :) Blessings, SusanD

  2. Random, eh? I'm horrible at random. Let's see. I'm currently re-reading Les Miserables (in English). I drive a minivan--soon to be with *three* car seats. I always grocery shop on Monday mornings. When I was growing up I wanted 6 kids. Now I say 4. My husband says three is enough. We'll see what God has in store! Pretty random.

  3. I can... touch my tongue to my nose, cross only my left eye while keeping my right looking straight ahead, eat a whole carton of ice cream if i wanted to (and if i was not afraid of gaining another five pounds), make a great big fool of myself very easily and have a hard time living it down, sing alto and soprano, make papercuts ( http://daysease.blogspot.com/ ), and.. hm, maybe I should stop now... Thanks for letting me expose my most secret silliness moments. Kind of fun. :-)

  4. Random huh? Well, hmmm... I have an obsessive need to finish things on lists. Which makes my DVR and the Netflix we just subscribed to more of a job than fun. ;-) I seriously MUST watch Netflix as soon as it comes so that I can put it BACK in the mailbox! The DVR number of hours free is like a taunt to me, at all times it must be higher so there is more room! I know, it's strange. :)

  5. I am thinking about the sheer amount of effort it had to have taken you to even post this! Gosh its so good to see something from you, especially something as fun as this ;) Um, I may have used up my random things yesterday... I'll go with one of those... I am double jointed in my left thumb and my left hip, and although I am right handed, I shoot pool with my left :-P

  6. Sometimes I go blind to dirt. Nothing else. Just dirt. I sail happily through my house until VOILA! my sight is restored and I am aghast at the state of things. It is a difficult disability to have after the spell, but during, not so bad.

  7. A few random things about myself....

Keeping my legs straight, I can bend down and place my hands palm down to the floor. (AND I'M TALL!)

I can't stand it when people use the microwave, but stop it before its finished, and then NOT CLEAR/RESET it. Don't know why, but it annoys me.

Something else that annoys me is when my husband, or anyone else, tears off a papertowel but doesn't get it all and leaves a small piece of it hanging on. What's wrong with me?!? :)

One other tidbit of randomness about me, I can name all 50 states in alphabetical order.

  8. I love the how do you feel answer. I'll have to remember that next time someone ask me. Hope you are having a wonderful day!

As for some randomness about me.
*I fidget way too much and it totally drives me insane.
*I have a very hard time relaxing unless I'm reading a book. If I'm not reading I'm always thinking of things I need to get done.
*I have lived in the same place my whole life and love it!
*I have a 100 pound lab/great dane mix who does not like to sit on the ground. She is either sitting in a chair, on the trampoline, in the back of a truck- anywhere but the ground. (She is goofy!)
*I love the smell of cucumbers & corn but don't eat them.

Guess that's enough of my randomness!

  9. This sounds so much like my sister. She even makes lists of what to make lists of. :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I love the smell of fresh ground coffee, but don't drink it.

Since i've stopped using chemical cleaners & soaps & laundry products i can't stand walking that aisle - the smells make me ill.

I'm rather ADD on the computer - having 18 windows open (currently) & flitting between them.

I love animals. My lifestyle doesn't accommodate dogs now. My cats tend to have more of a "dog" personality. (One of my cats loves to fetch.) Cats are not as good at comforting when i'm sad as dogs are.

I wish i were more like you, Sara, in my acceptance of my life. :)

  11. I don't like things that most everyone I know likes. I don't like donuts, and I don't mean because they are bad for you or other reasons people give. I can't even smell them without wanting to throw up. They are gross to me. My wonderful daughter Christina and my boys can't compute that.

I don't like coffee at all. It is gross. I don't get how people love it.

I hate cinnamon it makes me sick.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I am a hypochondriac who is afraid of going to see a doctor. Who might confirm that I do have whatever diseases I saw on TV, or the Internet, and now have the symptoms of.

I enjoy being around people, NYC is my favorite place, but also love the personal freedom of living alone. Sorry Riley, not pets allowed in my condo. :)

If I could afford it I would seriously consider having cosmetic surgery to remove the bags, now more the size of suitcases, under my eyes.

My two favorite movies are the 1990 horror film Tremors, and the 1950, Alastir Sim version, of Scrooge.

I love dogs, poetry, clean mountain dirt, campfire ghost stories, the smell of rain, children's laughter, MY two amazing children, my husband, my country, God, Glacier National Park, Cat Stevens, the Food Network and sunny/positive people like you! :)

    Hope you're feeling better!

I loved Michael Jackson. When I was younger (I won't say how young!) I collected tons of pictures from magazines of Michael Jackson and taped them all over my walls. It looked like Wallpaper when I was finished! And, yes I was devestated when I heard about him last week! One thing on my life list of things to do was to see him in concert. I guess I'll have to replace that goal with a new one....like, go on vacation with Jon Bon Jovi!!! :*

  24. I am the EXACT same way about coffee... I love the smell so much I have tried to make myself a coffee drinker, but I hate it. I don't like anything mocha flavored either. Just not my thing.

As far as the acceptance thing... I have to work at it, too. It's the choosing to work on it part that makes all the difference. :)

  27. My biggest dream was always to spend time in NYC but I never made it there. I always thought I could be happy living in a tiny flat, exploring the city, singing in a jazz club at night. That was a lot of money back then...and it was so fun to spend it! Another random thought. I love flip flops and sandals in the summer, but when I was in college I wouldn't wear them cuz I thought my feet were ugly. Sara, do you remember when you and Nicole took me to get my first pair of sandals? I remember them well. Let's see...one more random thought...my ultimate dream job is to be the director/creator of a children's museum. How cool would that be???

Didn't make it but I was nominated. I was a member of Math League when i was in HS. Until the year I competed my school had never had anyone in the top 25% for the state. I scored 11th in my catagory. But a team member scored 2nd in his catagory. So he received a plaque and award from the school that would have been mine had he not competed. 3. I will not buy anything unless it is on sale. Or thrifted.

    4. I love peas and carrots, but not mixed together.

    5. I wish for just one day, I could be a famous celebrity...to experience their life for just one day.

    6. I wish my family did not think I was really silly for crying over Michael Jackson's death. I have been so sad for him, he was a unsettled soul searching for love and happiness. Makes me so sad.

    7. I am perfectly happy driving my 10 year old car, instead of buying a new one. Actually, I don't even want a new one.

    8. I think I want to sky dive...can you just imagine the rush that must be? And the weird thing is, I am scared to death of heights.
