A few years ago my nephew, Cooper, and my niece, Avery, called and told me they had sent something to me in the mail.
They were all giggly and excited and wouldn't tell me what it was about. And I'm not ashamed to say it worked... the two little instigators totally got me excited with anticipation. They wouldn't tell me what it was about, where it was from or what it was for.
Then the mail came. And I laughed really hard. And then I put the item to use. And I about peed myself laughing. So, without further ado, I show you the end result of their great shopping excursion:
"Lassie... I am your father..."
He chewed up the headpiece within a matter of seconds, but he's remarkably patient about the costume. So, on behalf of Riley...
Happy Halloween!!!
What did I tell you about posting things like this without a disclaimer? He is SO adorable in that costume, people everywhere will be adopting little white Maltese puppies and dressing them like Darth Vader.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Riley.
LOL. Oh my. This is just too cute. My Sophie will destroy any kind of costume in a matter of minutes. If you happen to get one on her, she bucks like a bucking bronco to get it off.
ReplyDeleteProps to your niece and nephew, this was too cute.
And props to Riley for being such a good sport.
Hee hee ho ho...that is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOMG...that is FANTASTIC!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love Riley! :)
HA! Wait until my kids see that! I will have my own Darth Vader going out tonight. On second thought, Anita is right, if they see this they will so want to add a Maltese puppy with Darth Vader costume to their Star Wars infused Christmas list!! Now Riley just needs a light saber!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Sara!
ReplyDeleteOkay,Gitz, now I about peed myself!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
Greatest Halloween greeting I've ever gotten...(Lassie, I am your father...I'm cracking up!)
I'm going to eat candy now~
smooches to Riley~
My BFF has a bichon frise who looks a lot like your pup. She likes to dye his hair different colors for different seasons.
ReplyDeleteA pack of kool-aid + 1 solo cup + 1 bathtub + 1 wet pup = COLOR!!!
Made my day! What a doll!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, Aunt Sara and Riley!!! Thanks for sharing Riley's costume with everyone. If we would have sent something this year, Cooper wanted him to be yoda and Avery saw a mullet wig for dogs. Actually, it was a "sweet mullet".
ReplyDeleteWe love you!
Cooper & Avery
so cute...Riley makes the best Bark Vader ever! Turbo and Sophie don't like costumes, so we gave up on the idea this year.
ReplyDeleteOkay - I don't think I've ever seen anything cuter than that! Now I'm thinking that George (my pug) needs to be Yoda next year. Thanks for sharing and making my day.
ReplyDeleteone of the best animal costumes ive seen is a dog or cat costume. a cat costume for the dog and vise/versa.
ReplyDeletethere is nothing funnier than seeing a cat struttin down the street, barking!
poor riley.
too cute...does his bark get deeper when he has on the costume for the full darth effect?
ReplyDelete"lassie, I am your father" is much better than "I the baby daddy"...cultural relevance, I guess.
ReplyDeletethat's precious! so glad he's being a good sport! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Mixed emotions here. I laughed when I saw your adorable dog in the costume; then I felt bad that I laughed; then I laughed harder when I read your caption.
ReplyDeleteThat dog costume is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI've tried to put reindeer ears on my dog - no go!
